Car Seat Safety
As a certified Child Passenger Seat (CPS) Technician, car seats are a special passion of mine. The misuse rate in this country is over 75% and it is really scary to think about all the children who are riding around the roads in danger as we speak. Most parents trust that their car seat will protect their child, but that is only true if it is installed and used correctly.
Please make sure that your car seat is checked by a professional, who can instruct you on the important aspects of appropriate use.

For most of us, cars are an important part of our daily lives. We spend a fair amount of time with our kids in or around the car. In addition to properly installing and consistently using car seats to keep our children safe in transport, we need to remember never to leave children unsupervised in or around vehicles.
Dangers kids face many when they are unsupervised around cars:
- Back overs
- Front overs
- Heat stroke
- Power windows
- Trunk entrapment
- Accidental brake release
- Seatbelt strangulations
- Car theft with the child inside the vehicle
- Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
- Kidnapping or Abductions.
